William Glenn Gandy (78) died May 6, 2020 at the Lyons V.A. C.L.C. from COVID19.

Born October 27, 1941 in Franklin County, Alabama to Henry and Effie Gandy, he is survived by his siblings Shirley Brocato and Gary Gandy.

Glenn entered the United States Marine Corps in February 1964 and two years of his nine years' of service were spent in Vietnam. For his valor he was awarded the Silver Star(The Marine Corps' third highest honor), the Bronze Star with combat V, three Purple Hearts, the Vietnam Service Medal with five stars, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry Medals with a Silver Star, three with Bronze Stars, and one with a Palm and Frame, Navy Unit Citation and numerous others.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susan Bachert Gandy, and his greatest joy and pride their children Michael Steven Gandy and Kelly Christine Driscoll, and a daughter from a previous marriage, Becky Noles.

His legacy will continue through his Grandchildren Liam James Gandy, Finnegan Patrick Driscoll, Samantha Rachel Gandy, Christopher and Natalie Jackson, Alli Bevis and Alex Noles. Great grandchild Ellie Bevis and numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents and two children Kimberly Jackson and Jeffrey Glenn Gandy.
