Winifred W. Veghte

Winifred W. Veghte age 90 died on Sunday January 15, 2006 at The Cranford Health and Extended Care Center in Cranford, NJ. Born in Irvington, NJ she lived most of her life in Delanco, NJ and in the north New Jersey area. She was a volunteer for The Summit Chapter of The American Red Cross. A professional level seamstress she made sweaters and clothing for family and friends. Seh worked as a payroll clerk for The Chatham Board Of Education for 7 years retiring in 1981. She is pre deceased by her husband, John C. Veghte who died in 1982. She is survived by two daughters, Jane V. Riordan of West Caldwell, and Susan Mc Nulty of Cranford. Four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. No visitation. A memorial service will be 11 AM Saturday January 21, 2006 at The First Presbyterian Church in Cranford. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in her memory to The Summit Chapter of The American Red Cross, or the charity of your choice.
