Werner H. Schmidt of Mountainside,
Werner H. Schmidt Sr., age 84 passed away on Tuesday March 31, 2015 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ.
He was a former Vice President with Acromark of Elizabeth, and later in Berkeley Heights, manufacturers of hot stamping and decorating systems where he was employed for over 43 years retiring in 1996.
Mr. Schmidt served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Deutscher Club of Clark, and past president of the Saenger Chor in Newark.
Born in Bremerhaven Germany he lived in Mountainside, New Jersey since 1963.
Pre deceased by a daughter, Karin Sue Schmidt, and granddaughter Pamela Sue. He is survived by his loving wife Eleanore (Nee Braun) Schmidt to whom he was married for over 60 years. A son Werner H. Schmidt Jr., and his wife Marcy. Grandfather of Stephanie and Michael.
Private arrangements by the Gray Funeral Home in Westfield . A memorial service will be 11 am Saturday May 2, 2015 at the Community Presbyterian Church in Mountainside.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Presbyterian Church in Mountainside, NJ.
