Vincent Auriemma

Vincent J. Auriemma Sr, "Jimmy" entered eternal life peacefully at home on Sunday November 3rd.

Born August 22, 1929 to Antonio and Anna (nee Adinolfi) Auriemma in Newark NJ. He was pre-deceased by his wife Jean (nee Cifelli), his siblings Anthony Auriemma, Angela Rispoli, Victor Auriemma, Joseph Auriemma and Yolanda Fellows. He is survived by his daughters JoAnn Allen and her husband Ronald, Bonnie Berry and her husband Dennis, Andrea Fellows and her husband David. His sons, Victor and his wife Bernadette, Vincent and his wife Barbara, his 4 grandchildren Christopher Auriemma, Jonathan Auriemma, Gina Berry, Eliana McCafferty and her husband Peter and his great grandson Peter Vincent Mcafferty. He is also survived by his sister Helen Tomasso.

He was a Veteran of the Korean War.

He was a long shoreman in Local 1235 in Newark for 40 years. He was an avid sailor. He sailed his own boat up and down the east coast. He sailed the islands of Greece as well as many of the Caribbean Islands. He enjoyed many years of Country Western dancing where he made many long lasting friendships.

Visitation and Life Celebration will be held on Tuesday November 5, 2019 from 3 to 8pm at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave Cranford, NJ. Funeral will begin Wednesday November 6 at 10am at the funeral home. A service will be held a 11am at Cranford United Methodist Church 201 Lincoln Avenue E. Cranford NJ.

In lieu of flowers donations in Vincent's memory may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital.
