Terrence M Farley

Terrence M. Farley, a Limited Partner at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. and resident of Basking Ridge, NJ, formerly of Westfield, NJ, died on August 25, 2018. He was 88.
He was born March 6, 1930 in New York City, the second son of Terrence and Mary Farley. He was predeceased by his brother, Russell.

He was educated at New York City public schools including College of the City of New York where he attended night classes, graduating Cum Laude in 1955. He later graduated from the Rutgers Graduate School of Banking and the International Banking School at Christ Church College, Oxford, England.

He spent his entire banking career at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. in New York City starting in 1951. He became a Partner in 1972, served as Managing Partner from 1984 to 1995 and became a Limited Partner in 2005.
He served on the Boards of the Overlook Foundation in Summit, N.J. and Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, N.J.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, the former Audrey Churchill; by his daughter Elizabeth Farley of Boston, MA, two sons, Peter of Summit, NJ, Matthew of Albuquerque, NM, and by four grandchildren: James and Cara Farley of NJ, and Collin and Gavin Farley of NM.

Private Graveside services will be in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Memorial services will begin at 2:00PM Saturday September 8, 2018 at The Presbyterian Church, Pluckemin, NJ.
