Sharon M. Aitken (Nee Moore) passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on April 20th after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Sharon was born in Neptune, NJ and was raised in Spring Lake Heights, Pt. Pleasant, Penns Grove, and Spring Lake, NJ since her father was a Methodist Minister who relocated frequently. Sharon graduated from Manasquan High School and Berkeley Secretarial School and worked as an Administrative Assistant for Schering Plough and Strauss Discount Auto.  When Sharon was not working, her time was spent driving her children and everyone in the neighborhood to school, sports, and anywhere the car took her.  Later in life, if she was not with her kids or grandchildren, she was traveling with or visiting family, dining with friends, spending time at The South Seaville Camp Meeting, or sitting at her favorite place, the beach.

Sharon is predeceased by her mother and father, Vivian and Lawrence Moore, her mother-in-law Nell Aitken, and brother-in law Donald Cove.  She is survived by her husband of 49 years David Aitken; daughters Allison (Domenic) Gibase and Melanie Ebbe; son Andrew (Annabelle) Aitken; grandchildren Alyssa and Domenic Gibase, James and Shaun Ebbe, and Divina Aitken; her brothers David and John Moore; sister Linda (Michael) Morrell; sister-in-law Mary Ann Cove; nieces Ainslie Cove and Deanna Rideau; nephews Dustin Cotugno and Matthew Cove; several great nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
