Ruth L. Kolbe

Ruth Martell Kolbe (Leonard) age 95, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at The Tallwoods Care Center in Bayville with her two daughters and grand-daughter by her side. Born August 18, 1917 in Newark to Charles and Jeanette Leonard. Ruth grew up in Chatham, lived in Elizabeth, Cranford, Union, Cream Ridge and Manchester. Ruth met the love of her life, Clayton in Ocean Gate. They later married and raised four daughters. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Clayton in 1993. Ruth is survived by Sandra Schroppe and the late Roger of Cape May C.H., Susan Koller (Jerry) of Whiting, Sally Maulshagen (Rick) of Roselle, and Sharon Kolbe of Clark. Ruth also leaves behind five beloved grandchildren and nine beautiful great-grandchildren. Visitation and life celebration will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, Cranford.
