Robert Wallad Robert Wallad, 91, of Union, N.J., passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford, N.J. Online condolences may be sent to www.grayfuneralhomes.com. Born and raised in Newark, N.J., Bob graduated from Weequahic High School. He served in the armed forces during WW II. Bob worked in the family retail produce business in Newark and later for Merck Research Laboratories in Rahway, N.J. before retiring in 1988. Bob lived for two years in the New Jersey Veteran's Memorial Home in Menlo Park, N.J. Predeceased by his devoted son Aron, Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Ruth (Bershonsky); his loving son Marty and his wife, Linda; his beloved daughter-in-law Cheryl; his dear grandchildren, Sean and his wife Heather, Benjamin, Samantha, and Alex; and his cherished great-grand-children Aidan and Mason.
