Bob Nicholas passed away late Sunday night 4/5/20 at the age of 87 at the Cranford Nursing and Rehab. Bob was born October 28, 1932 in Kearney NJ to parents Lionel and Rose Nicholas. Bob leaves behind his 2 daughters Kelly Brinkerhoff, her husband David, and Nancy Venezia, his daughter-in-law Tammie Nicholas and grandchildren Heather, Brian and Anthony Nicholas, David, Steven, Ryan and Sara Brinkerhoff, and Claudia and Carley Venezia as well as great grandchildren Laken, Ava and Emma Brinkerhoff. He also leaves behind 1 brother Charles Nicholas and numerous nieces & nephews.
Bob was pre-deceased by his wife of 65 years, Constance, son James Nicholas, his parents, brothers William and Thomas and sister Iris.
Bob was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Bob had several careers, security guard for Merck, safety director for the family trucking company and school custodian. No matter the job he always said if you are going to do it, do it well. Bob was also a volunteer fireman in Garwood. He enjoyed golfing and traveling, especially cruising.
He will be greatly missed by his family and the impact of his love and care will be carried with them all.
