Richard D. Woitowitz, of Roselle, NJ passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 after a two-
month-long illness.   Born on May 8, 1933, Richard was raised on the lower east side of
Manhattan in New York City with his three sisters and one brother.  In his late teens and early
twenties, he served his country honorably in the United States Army. Professionally, Richard
worked as an engineer for multiple firms in the NY Tri-State area and finished the last 15 years
of his career working for the Freehold, NJ Township Planning Board Office.   A very meticulous,
analytical and detail oriented man, Richard always enjoyed building things in areas of wood
working to very complex scale models of buildings, vehicles and the like.   An avid sports fan,
Richard always held a place in his heart for his New York Football Giants.  But Richard's
greatest achievement and passion of all are his two beautiful daughters that he raised, Suzanne
and Lori Ann.   They were always his dual, perpetual shining lights and source of endless pride.
He truly lived more for them than himself, and it was that singular focus of unconditional love,
sacrifice and devotion that made his life, in his mind, worth living a thousand years over.
Richard was predeceased by his oldest daughter Lisa Woitowitz (neonatal death), his brother
William Worth, his two sisters, Marie Lesniak and Helen LoCascio.
Surviving Richard D. Woitowitz are his two loving daughters, Suzanne Marie Woitowitz; Lori
Ann Cascio, his sister Joan Sprinkle and his son-in-law Peter Cascio. Lastly, Richard was the
proud uncle to many devoted nieces and nephews.   Family and friends are invited to attend the
visitation on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Gray Memorial Funeral Home
located at 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford, NJ 07016, where a Prayer Service will begin at 9:15AM
