Purnima Patel

Purnima A. Patel, 80, of Roselle Park, NJ, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 6, 2020 at home in Berkeley Heights, NJ.
Purnima was born on January 19, 1940 to Babubhai and Sivitabhen Patel in Ahmedabad, India. She met Arvind October 28th and married him on October 30, 1965, 2 days later. Purnima will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Kumar and Shetal, daughter-in-law, Kathleen, future daughter-in-law, Kristen and her grandson, Samuel.
Purnima lived on four continents over her lifetime; Asia, Africa, Europe and finally made her home in the United States where she lived for over 40 years lovingly taking care of her family.
Purnima's greatest passion and achievement in life was her role as a wife and mother. Everything she did in life was to create a good future for her family. She loved her two sons and was proud of their many achievements and successes in life.
All who knew Purnima will remember her as a kind, generous and loving woman of faith. She always had words of wisdom to share and always had a positive message to lift your spirit. Although disabled the last four years of her life, she never allowed that to dampen her spirit and she remained ever the encourager. She was always upbeat and had a smile on her face. She put the needs of others and her family ahead of herself. She wanted nothing more than her family to be happy and to stay strong in their faith in Christ. Purnima was an avid reader. She loved to read her Bible and other books that would encourage her faith and she passed that encouragement onto others. Purnima was also an amazing cook. She loved to cook for family and friends and loved even more to watch them gobble down the food. Purnima was a generous woman, always donating to charities.
Purnima was married to the love of her life, Arvind, for 54 years, loving and serving him selflessly. She, like her husband, had a deep faith in Jesus Christ and will now spend eternity with their Lord and Savior, Jesus, and with each other smiling down on all she loved.
