Pilar D'Elia

Pilar D'Elia, 56, of Cranford, passed away on Wednesday September 25, 2013, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Pilar's Life Celebration will be Friday September 27th, from 2-4 and 7-9PM at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford (go to www. grayfuneralhomes.com to offer condolences). Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30AM Saturday September 28, 2013, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Cranford. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Born in Santander, Spain, Pilar had been an executive secretary with the Merck Corporation, formerly Schering Plough Co., in White House, NJ. She enjoyed her time with her family at the shore, especially in Asbury Park, and Cape May. She was also active with the "Bottoms Up" Book Club, Cranford. Pilar was the beloved wife of husband: Joseph, devoted mother of: Brandon, and Lauren, beloved grandmother of Cameron Avena D'Elia, dear sister of: Susan Gomez (Jose-Antonio), Anthony Santiago (Liz), Rachel Santiago, Steven Santiago (Karina), and Robert Santiago.
