Peter Fryziuk

June 16, 1927 — August 26, 2017

Peter Fryziuk, 90, formerly of Mountainside, passed away on Saturday August 26, 2017, at Easton Hospital, in Easton, PA,
where he resided for the past several years. Born in Sadjava, Ukraine, he came to America in the late 1950s. He was retired from the B&M Finishers
company in Kenilworth. Peter was devoted to his faith, and was a longtime member of St. John The Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Newark, where he he sang in the church choir. Peter loved going down to the shore, where he enjoyed the ocean and sunbathing. An avid gardener, he also loved traditional Ukrainian folk music. Peter was the beloved husband of the late Irena Fryziuk, who died in 1990. He is survived by three loving daughters: Anna Gerckens and her husband Michael, Marta DeSpirito and her husband Anthony, and Daria Fryziuk. Peter is also the beloved grandfather of four grandchildren.
Peter's Life Celebration will be on Wednesday August 30, 2017 from 6:00-8:00PM at Gray Funeral Directors, 318 E. Broad Street, Westfield.
His Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30AM Thursday August 31, 2017 at the Church of St. Anne, 325 Second Avenue, Garwood, NJ. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ.
