Neil Robert Bryson, 78, of Cranford N.J. passed away on Friday October 26,2018.
Neil's Life Celebration and visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9PM Monday, October 29th, at Gray Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave. Cranford. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30AM Tuesday October 30, 2018, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Cranford. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Born in Trenton, N.J. to the late Neil and Mary (Hogarty) Bryson on April 3, 1940. Neil was predeceased his brother Gerald and his sister Kathy.
Neil graduated from St. Charles College High School in Baltimore, Maryland. He studied in Rome, Italy for 2 years at the North American College.
Returning to the States, Neil graduated with a DDS degree from the University of Maryland Dental School. Neil served in the US Army from 1968 to 1971. He received post graduate degrees from NYU Dental School in Prosthetics and Periodontics and was one of the first students to take the Dental Implantology course at NYU. Neil thoroughly enjoyed being an Associate Professor at NYU Dental School. Neil loved being a dentist, and practiced dentistry for over 40 years at his office in Colonia N.J. His wife Kathleen, a dental hygienist, worked with him for 26 years. They loved working together and deeply cared for their patients.

In his youth, Neil loved playing sports especially handball and baseball. Neil was known for always smiling, being joyful, making others laugh and enjoying life to the fullest.
Neil is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kathleen (Noonan), and daughters Julia Mary, Molly and Melissa. Neil adored his family and his many nieces and nephews.
