Mary Kalinowski, 97, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 3rd. She was recuperating from a stroke, at the home of her daughter.
Born in Petrova, Czechoslovakia, Mary came to the United States at the age of 13 with friends from that area.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Chester, and her son Robert, and is survived by her daughters Barbara, Joan, and Diane. Mary was a devoted grandmother to Katie, James, Kyle, and Bennett.
She enjoyed gardening and the beach. She had been an active member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) in Clark, NJ.
Visitation will be 9:30 to 11:00 Tuesday June 15 at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave, Cranford, NJ. Internment will be at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ where her son and husband are buried.
