Mary Gargiulo

September 15, 1958 — April 10, 2026

Loving mother of Daniel, Michelle, and Eric, she was predeceased by her husband, Sal. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Anne McGowan.

Born in Queens, New York, she was a longtime resident of Cranford, New Jersey, where she developed lifelong friendships throughout the town.

An avid Cranford sports supporter, she found great joy in watching her children’s games. She was also a dedicated New York sports fan and loved watching the Yankees, Jets, Knicks, and Rangers with her family.

She had a passion for classic rock music and was a frequent concertgoer. She also enjoyed crosswords, watching Jeopardy, and playing trivia with friends.

Her greatest joy in life was raising her children and watching her family grow. 

She is survived by her sister, Erin; her brother-in-law, Robert; and her nephew, Michael. As well as her sister-in-law, Tina; her brother-in-law, Steve; and her nieces, Kyla and Sara.

A memorial service will be held on April 17 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Gray Memorial Home, 12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford, New Jersey.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to the Cranford Baseball & Softball League (CBSL) (PO BOX 35, Cranford NJ 07016) or Cranford Touchdown Club (414 Casino Avenue, Cranford NJ 07016).
