Mary Corcoran

Mary Corcoran, 84, formerly of Newark, died Monday August 18, 2014 at Sunrise of Westfield, NJ, surrounded by her loving family. Mary's Life Celebration and visitation will be 3:00-8:00PM Wednesday August 20, at Gray Funeral Directors, 12 Springfield Ave, Cranford. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 930AM Thursday August 21, 2014, at St. Michael's Catholic Church Cranford. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. Born in County Meath, Ireland, Mary raised five children in the Vailsburg section of Newark. Mary had been a private duty health care aide. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and Florida. She also like dancing and horse racing. She was the beloved wife of the late Martin Joseph Corcoran. Mary is survived by her children: Patrick Thomas Corcoran and his wife Denise, John Joseph Corcoran and his wife: Trish, Kathleen Loretta White and her husband Robert, Ann Marie Barsanti and her husband Albert, James Martin Corcoran and his wife Margaret Hope, Debi Tortorello and her husband Frank, 11 grandchildren, and one great grandson Miles. She is also survived by two sisters: Sister Susan "Susie" Magdalen Ennis, Katherine McCaul, and brother-in-law: Michael Corcoran and his wife Cathy.
