Mark William Petrilla, 66, of Cranford, NJ, passed away, Friday, August 4, 2018, surrounded by family.
Mark was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ where he graduated in 1971 from Thomas Edison Voc-Tech High School. He worked as a marine engine mechanic at Lehman Power in Linden, NJ, served the East Orange community as an EMT and most recently worked at Registrar and Transfer Co in Cranford, NJ. He also served as US Army Reserve.
Mark enjoyed fishing, boating, listening to country music, carpentry and fixing things. He was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Mark is survived by his mother Phyllis Loveland (Beben); his long time fiancé Dolores DeGroat; his daughter from his first marriage, Dawn Paruta, and her husband Jack; his grandchildren Nicholas, Lucy, Maggie and William; his step sister Carol Bengle and of course his dog Corky. He is predeceased by his father William Petrilla, his step-father Russel Loveland Jr and Delores' son Joseph.
Friends and family are welcome to his celebration of life service being held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 4:00-8:00pm at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave, Cranford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org
