Marjorie "Sandra" Heyburn (nee Platt), born February 6, 1932, passed away on September 7, 2013 at Abington Lansdale Hospital in Pennsylvania. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8pm at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, Cranford. Funeral service, and life celebration is Thursday at 10 am followed by a burial at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Go to grayfuneralhomes.com for on line condolences. Born in North Plainfield, NJ to Marjorie and Argyle Platt, Sandra lived most of her life in Cranford. She resided for short periods in Spring Lake NJ and Toms River NJ before moving to Pennsylvania in 2004. She graduated from North Plainfield High School and attended Muhlenberg Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. Sandra worked at Cranford Health and Extended Care as an RN for 23 years where she was loved by the staff and the patients. Sandra was the devoted wife to the late Daniel H. Heyburn who died in 1996 after a long career as electrical contractor in Cranford. He was a member of the Barbershop quartet " The Easternaires" Sandra was a loving and devoted mother to her 4 children Linda E. Gottlieb, wife of Fred Gottlieb, of Harleysville, Pa Daniel H. Heyburn Jr. Of Hilton Head, SC Douglas C. Heyburn, husband of Maria, of Butler, NJ Donald J. Heyburn, husband of Jane, of Cranford, NJ She was a loving Grandmother to her 9 grandchildren Katie Southwick, Brian and Michael Gottlieb, Dylan, Zachary, Nicholas, Christopher, Alexandra, and Jessica Heyburn She was also a loving great grandma to Cole Bartle and Olivia Southwick In addition, she is also survived by her brother, Campbell Platt and his wife, Barbara, from Bridgewater, NJ. and 4 nieces and 3 nephews.
