Margaret Arasin "Peggy" Metzger

Margaret Arasin "Peggy" Metzger (Coppinger), 57, a lifelong resident of Cranford, NJ, passed away on Sunday January 31, 2016, after a lengthy illness.
Peggy's Life Celebration will be Friday February 5th from 3:00-8:00PM at Gray Funeral Directors, 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford, where her funeral service will begin at 11:00AM Saturday February 6, 2015. A registered nurse, Peggy had also worked at the Someville Antique Emporium, which she enjoyed very much. A 1976 graduate of Cranford High School, Peggy graduated from the Muhlenberg Hospital School of Nursing.
She and her husband Michael enjoyed going to Cape May, Belmar, and Asbury Park, where they went to "Yappy Hour" with their dogs at the Wonder Bar. She and her husband Michael, especially loved going to concerts, movies, watching TV together and antiquing. Peggy also loved the outdoors, especially hiking the Appalachian Trail, fishing, gardening, and going to the Cranford Pool.
She was the beloved daughter of the late: Peter and Eleanor Arasin, and a dear sister of the late Matthew Arasin. She is survived by her loving husband: Michael H. Metzger, and loving daughter: Chelsea Lanier. Their pets included a dog Samson, and cats: Zoe, Lion, Warren, and Binky. Peggy is the beloved sister of: Susan Ishiyama (Toru), Joseph Arasin (Rachel), Maureen Leitner (Philip), Donna Arasin (James Price), nieces and nephews.
