Margaret Jareski - Age 93
Margaret D. Jareski was born in Newark, NJ to her parents Edward and Josephine Thieme.
After graduating from Newark High School, she had a professional career for 30 years with NJ Bell in Elizabeth, NJ.
In 1951, she married Frank Jareski and lived in a home they purchased in Mountainside, NJ.
During her life in Mountainside, she was a past president of the Womens' Auxiliary of the American Legion Blue Star Post 386 and held membership in the Womens' Auxiliary of the VFW and the Seniors Club. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She and her husband, Frank, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2011.
Margaret enjoyed bowling, dancing (especially the polka), playing cards and traveling to the Poconos, cruising and Atlantic City.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank; her son, Charles; and is survived by her daughter-in-law, Pamela Jareski of the Villages, Florida; 4 granddaughters; Gazenna Beaver and her husband Matthew of Selingsgrove, PA; Heather Turner of the Villages, Florida; Josephine Platt and her husband Mark of Voorhees, NJ and Jennifer Hennequant and her husband Justin of Atlanta, GA; six great grandchildren; 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
Her entire family will miss her gentleness, smiling face, her love of life and family. We will always have the many happy memories she gave to each of us to hold in our hearts forever.
There will be a funeral mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 300 Central Avenue, Mountainside, NJ on Tuesday, December 30th at 10 AM. Internment will be held immediately after the mass at Graceland Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Galloping Hill Road, Kenilworth, NJ.
In lieu of flowers. the family request that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Society, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.l
