Marc A Rogala

Marc, four random letters that form a name that was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, and friend. Marc was a beloved son and brother that left us too soon. I could attempt to tell you about Marc's experiences and accomplishments, but no one is ever remembered for the mundane. Instead, I would like to share with you the essence of my brother Marc.

A complex man, my brother was a fearless warrior who possessed a tender heart. A genius of facts, who could argue his point with ease. Marc was a charmer of people with charisma to spare. A lover of nature and a guardian to all animals. A simple man with no airs, but a man whose heart was always in the right place.

To say my brother was perfect would be incorrect. My brother was human and had his demons, like all of us. The difference with my brother was that he acknowledged those demons with no excuse or apology. I'm not here to focus on the bad, because within any darkness resides light and goodness. My brother never saw the goodness that we all saw, but believed he was never enough.

So now we say farewell to Marc. A fiber that has been woven throughout my life. For now a hole will reside within our lives and forever will be present. Don't be sad, for Marc lived his life under his own terms. Goodnight my son and brother. You were always loved more than you knew. Until we see each other again, rest peacefully among the stars.
