Leroy M. "Buddy" Redd Jr.

Leroy Miles "Buddy" Redd Jr., 91, formerly of Westfield, NJ, passed away on Thursday February 1, 2024 at his residence in Rahway, NJ. Born and raised in Westfield, he was a 1951 graduate of Westfield High School. A veteran of the US Air Force, during the Korean War years, Buddy was retired from the US Postal Service, where he was a postal supervisor and letter carrier. He enjoyed golf and being with his family. Buddy was the beloved husband of the late Sandra Redd. He is survived by his daughter Leslie K. Redd, two sons: Tracy Redd, Travis M. Redd, and two grandchildren: Alec and Aubrey Redd. He was predeceased by his sister: Evelyn Scott, and his daughter-in-law: Christine Redd.  Buddy's funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Robert Sykes, will begin at 12:00PM Noon Wednesday February 21, 2024 at Gray Funeral Home, 318 E. Broad St., Westfield, NJ, where the visitation will begin at 10AM until service time.
