Mrs. Katherine J. Hein, 94, of Cranford, NJ.passed away on Sunday, December 18th, 2005. Mrs. Hein was born in Newark, NJ on June 22, 1911, the daughter of the late Daniel Manning and Catherine(Duff).
She was employed as an Executive Secretary at Home Builders Association in Union, NJ. for 10 years. She retired in 1971.
She was a parishoner of St.Michaels Roman Catholic Church in Cranford and also a member of their Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Cranford Senior Citizens Friday group and a member of the Union County AARP.
She was the widow of George W. Hein who died in 1998. Surving her are her daughter Susan Pidgeon of Cranford. Two Granddaughters, Anne P. Callender, and Amy E Pidgeon both of New York City. A Great granddaughter, Madeleine C. Callender.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM Friday December 23, 2005 at St.Michael's R.C. Church, Cranford, NJ, with Father Krzsztof Maslowski officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery, Westfield on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm 7-9 PM in the Gray Memorial Funeral Home 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford.
