March 9, 1945 — July 3, 2015

BAILY – Karen Brunner died peacefully at her home in Mountainside surrounded by her family on July 3, 2015. Devoted wife of 48 years to Nicholas Baily, loving mother of Lisa Baily and Nicole Baily, grandmother to Sophia and Jacob. She was also very close to her brother, John Brunner, who was also with her in her last days. Karen attended Westfield Senior High School in Westfield, NJ then earned her art degree from Vernon Court Junior College in Newport, Rhode Island. She worked in accounting at Jane Smith's in Westfield and then for a financial advisor and realtor. Karen was a remarkable woman known for her quiet kindness, love of animals, especially frogs and her kitties, and ability to make every holiday and birthday more special than the next. Her artistic talents spanned a wide range from crafts, to gardening to baking. Her most skillful achievements can be seen in her watercolor paintings of flowers which are displayed in her and her children's homes. Her great sense of humor combined with her acceptance and open arms attitude radiated to everyone she came in contact with. A life celebration for Karen will be on Saturday July 18th, 2015, from 10 am till 12 noon, with a service of remembrance during the gathering hours, at Gray's Funeral Home, 318 E.
