Josephine Scannella Weibel

Josephine Scannella Weibel, 90, of Cranford, passed away on Wednesday April 26, 2017 at Cranford Health and Extended Care Center. Born in Scranton, PA, Josephine was the beloved wife and helpmate of the late Lorenz Henry Weibel, who was a math and science teacher in the Cranford Public Schools. Mrs. Weibel was active with the Cranford United Methodist Church , where she was a past recording secretary for the women's ministry group. She also participated in the "Lunch Bunch" group that was sponsored by the former Alliance Church of Clark. She was also preceded in death by siblings: Gioconda, Rachel, and David. A very sweet lady, Josephine was fond of all cats and loved them. She is the beloved mother of her daughter: Cynthia R. Weibel, and a very dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Her burial will take place at the Washburn Street Cemetery, Scranton, PA. Arrangements are by Gray Funeral Directors of Cranford, NJ.
