Josephine M. "Jo Jo" Serpe

Josephine Marie Serpe (nee LaBue), 86, of Cranford, passed away on Saturday May 18, 2019, at her
residence. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Jo Jo as she was known, grew up in Bayonne, where she graduated from
Bayonne High School in 1950. She worked for more than 20 years at Carvel Ice Cream shop in Bayonne.
Jo Jo enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas, and going shopping especially at flea markets. She was
the beloved wife of the late: Frank P. Serpe,and dear sister of the late Vincent LaBue. Josephine is survived by
her four children: Son, Frank D. Serpe (Roseanna) of Old Bridge, Daughters: Donna Ross (Joseph) of Cranford,
Linda Diaz (Alex) of Cranford, Susan Scopellite (Vincent) of Old Bridge, nine grandchildren (Jamie, Matthew,
Joseph, Nicholas, Joely, Frank, Amanda, Jenna, Justin) five great grandchildren (Lucas, Fiona, Olivia, Ella, William),
and sister: Paula Dugan of Colonia.
Josephine's Life Celebration and Visitatation will be on Tuesday May 21st from 4:00-8:00PM at Gray Memorial Funeral Home,
12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30AM Wednesday May 22, 2019 at St. Michael Catholic
Church, 40 Alden St, Cranford. NJ. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
