John A Ridge

John A. Ridge, 58, of Perth Amboy, NJ passed away peacefully on February 7, 2020. A loving son and
brother, John was born on March 20, 1961, and grew up in Clark. As a young man, he served in the US
Navy. John's favorite pastime was freshwater fishing at Round Valley Reservoir on his boat
accompanied by his beloved dog, Casey. As a hobbyist, he had a unique talent in woodworking and
repurposing everyday items.
He is survived by his mother, Rita, and his sisters, Nancy Ridge, Kelly Eltringham (Bob), Robin von Hollen
(Dirk) and five nephews and niece: Luke, Steven, Kyle, Rachel, and Erik. John's beaming smile, positive
outlook, and great stories will be missed.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at Gray Memorial Funeral Home in Cranford on Wednesday,
February 12th, from 2-4pm. A short memorial service will follow at 4pm. Donations in lieu of flowers
