Joan M. Stanton

Joan M. Stanton, 82, of Cranford, died Friday November 8, 2013, in Overlook Medical Center, Summit. Joan's Life Celebration will begin at 10:30 AM Monday November 11, 2013, at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford, where her funeral service will begin at 11:30 AM Monday. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Born in Cranford, Mrs. Stanton was retired from the Ingersoll-Rand Corporation, where she had been a secretary. She was active with the Cranford Senior Citizens Center, and enjoyed bowling, bingo, and trips to Atlantic City. She was the beloved wife of the late William Stanton. Joan is survived by four children: Sandra Stanton, William Stanton and wife Carol, Kathy Brown and husband Tim, Robert Stanton, and wife Michele, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a sister Lois Callaghan and husband Thomas.
