Janet M. Gangaware

Janet Gangaware, 87, of Toms River N. J. formerly of Cranford, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 after a long illness. Born in Cranford, Janet married and raised four children. She worked for United Counties Trust Co. and retired after 30 years. Upon retirement, she moved to Cherokee, Alabama. She was a member of the Cherokee Lions Club and served on the Cherokee Library Board. She volunteered her time at the Library until moving back to New Jersey in 2012. Predeceased by her friend Samuel Hays of Cherokee, and her son Richard of Harmony, N, J. She is survived by her daughter Kathryn McLeer & husband Derry of Brick, N.J. and her sons, Robert of Philadelphia, and Dale Jr. of Ohio. Janet is also survived by 9 grandchildren; David of Monument, CO., Jason Harrington of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Harmony Harrington Bertrand of Cranford, Tara Gangaware Ribar of MS., Kelly Gangaware of Lancaster, PA., Jamie Gangaware Czarnowski of Spring Lake Park, Mn., Adam Gangaware of Harmony, PA., Connie Gangaware Emmitt of Camden, NC., Dale Gangaware III of Camden, NC. and 13 great grandchildren. Cremation will be private and a memorial service and life celebration will be held on Saturday February 1, 2014 at 11:00 am, Gray Memorial Funeral Home, Springfield Avenue, Cranford N.J.
