Helen Ludvigsen

Helen Ludvigsen of Boonton Township passed away on Tuesday April 15 at the age of 94. Born on Staten Island, New York, she moved to New Jersey in 1975. She resided in Roselle Park and Cranford before moving to Boonton Township in 2010. Prior to her retirement, she was an office manager for the United States Lines. She was a member of Nansen Lodge, Sons of Norway, on Staten Island and of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Parsippany. Helen was pre-deceased by her husband, William Sunhill who passed away in 1960 and her husband Otto Ludvigsen who passed away in 1984. She is survived by her daughters Karen Jacobus, and her husband Alan, and Ruth Rosso and her husband Joseph; a stepson, John Ludvigsen and his wife Gwen and a stepdaughter Judith Soares and her husband John. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday April 21 at Gray Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 22 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Lutheran Church, 108 Eastman Street, Cranford. Interment will follow in Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the Nansen Lodge, Sons of Norway, scholarship fund or to St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Parsippany, New Jersey.
