GLADYS C. BORNMANN Professional Educator, Active in Methodist Church Gladys C Bornmann, 96, of Westfield, NJ mother of Barbara & William, mother-in-law of Julia, grandmother of Amelia & William, died peacefully on Tuesday January 15th. Gladys' Life Celebration and visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9PM Friday January 18, 2013, at Gray's, Funeral Directors, 318 E. Broad St. Westfield. Burial will private, in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. The Service of Remembrance will 2PM Sunday February 3, 2013, at The First United Methodist Church, 1 East Broad St., Westfield, NJ 07090, where memorial contributions may be made in Gladys' memory. She predeceased her husband of 50 years William & sister Olive. Born in Milltown, NJ, she was a longtime Westfield & Seaside Park resident. She received her bachelor's degree from Douglas College in 1936 and her masters in General Science at Rutgers in 1949. Gladys taught 4th Grade and then 7th & 8th Grade math then was an instructor of Related Science at Middlesex County Vocational. She wrote a book BACTERIOLOGY FOR NURSES for SUNY. She was active at the FUMC leading committees and sang with the Wesley Singers. Gladys dedicated her life to her family.
