Gisela Woodruff passed away early Friday morning on June 21, 2013 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Towards the end she battled multiple health issues. Born in Berlin, Germany but moved to the United States as a young adult. She lived in Cranford for 48 years. She was a long time member of The Cranford Presbyterian Church. Gisela worked at Siemens Corporation as an executive secretary for several years. During the last couple of months prior to her passing she resided at Sunrise Assisted Living, in Westfield. Her husband of 51 years predeceased her on Thursday October 23, 2008. Surviving are her two twin daughters, Yvonne Woodruff, Yvette with her husband Jeff Jones, and her sister Ruth Jones. Also, survived by her sister in law, Bette Welter, and family; along with several nephews and her Funeral service is to be held under the direction of the Gray Memorial Funeral Home in Cranford.
