Genevieve Raudonis, 95, passed away peacefully on November, 11 2016 surrounded by her family in Cranford, NJ.
Born in Simpson, Pennsylvania, Genevieve was a longtime resident of Elizabeth, NJ and Union, NJ. She was predeceased by the love of her life and husband of 68 years, John A. Raudonis Jr. Genevieve is survived by her five loving daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia and Richard Jennings, Genevieve and Daniel Mehosky, Mary Elliott, Janet and Michael Ellenbacher, Diane and John Malczynski. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Scott, Lauren, Michael, Nancy, Gregory, Katelyn, Michele, Jenna, Justin, Jack, and Julia.
Genevieve was an avid gardener and seamstress. She was employed as a pre-school aide at First Congregational Church in Union, NJ for many years. Her greatest joy was teaching her young students and participating in her grandchildren's lives. She will be forever cherished as their loving "Grandma."
Family and friends are invited to a life celebration for Genevieve at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford on Monday November 14, 2016 from 4 to 8 pm. You may go to grayfuneralhomes.com for on line condolences. A funeral mass will be held at St. Michael's Church in Cranford at 9:30 am on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Catholic Charities, Cranford NJ, or NJ Commission for the Blind, Newark NJ.
