Frances L Moore

Frances L. Moore, 72, of Kenilworth, passed away on Tuesday April 9, 2024 at Center for
Hope Hospice, Scotch Plains. Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Frances moved at a
young age with her family to Springfield, NJ, where she graduated from Jonathan Dayton
High School in 1969. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, and
retired from Celgene (now Bristol Myers Squibb) in Summit, where she was a
pharmaceutical clinical trials coordinator.
Fran was an active advocate for animals, and devoted a great deal of time to the welfare of
cats. She tirelessly volunteered in fund raising for organizations who helped animals. Fran
enjoyed baking and delighted family, friends and everyone she knew with her annual
Christmas cookies. She enjoyed crocheting and her friends and family could often be seen
wearing a Fran Moore creation. Frances was the beloved daughter of the late Edward L. and
Lillian (nee Michel) Moore. She is survived by three sisters: Carole Ajalat, Barbara Buettner
and husband Bernie, Leila Moore and husband Kevin Heaney. Frances is also survived by
nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was a true friend to many and will be
missed by all. There will be a private family burial for Frances in Hillside Cemetery,
Lyndhurst, NJ.
