Frances S. Hunt

Frances S. Hunt, 93, of Silver Spring, Maryland, departed this life for eternal rest on Tuesday,
December 20, 2022. Following a brief illness, she passed peacefully with loved ones by her side.
Frances was born on June 22, 1929 to the late Reverend and Mrs. Frank M. Sherlock of
Cranford, New Jersey. She graduated from Cranford high school and worked as a secretary at
Tidewater Oil Company in Manhattan where she met her husband, the late Richard T. Hunt. The
two married in 1957, had two children, and were together for 47 years before Richard's passing
in 2004. Frances was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet H. Middleton, of Mobile,
Alabama. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie H. Callaway, of Rockville, Maryland, five
grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many dear friends. A funeral service will be held in
her honor at St. John's Episcopal Church, Olney, Maryland, on Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at 11:00
a.m. A private burial will follow in New Jersey on January 4. To honor the immeasurable love
