Evelyn Katherine Filliger

Evelyn Katherine “Evie” Filliger, 93, formerly of Kenilworth, NJ passed away on Sunday November 12, 2023, at Garden Terrace in Chatham, NJ, where she had been a resident for the past 7 years. Born in Newark to the late George H. and Katherine (nee Molinari) Filliger, Evie moved to Kenilworth in 1967, where she lived 27 years. In 1994, Evie moved to Brick, NJ, where she spent time closer to the Shore, which she enjoyed. Evie worked for many years as a payroll administrator for AT&T in Manhattan, NY. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Cranford, and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Manasquan. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She is survived by her cousins: Rita Tripodi and Sally McAllister. Evie’s funeral service will begin at 11AM Thursday November 16, 2023 at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford, where her visitation will be from 10AM until service time Thursday.
