Ernestine May Trubenbach

Ernestine M. Trubenbach of Bridgewater, NJ died on Saturday August 2, 2014 at the age of 87. Born in Hillside, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late C. Ernest and Dorothy Trubenbach. Ernestine resided in the Township of Hillside before moving to The New Jersey Eastern Star Home on May 30, 2008. Ernestine began her career working for the Township of Hillside in 1943. She served as Municipal Clerk and Deputy Municipal Clerk for 50 years until her retirement in November 1993. The Trubenbach family owned and operated Trubenbach's Feed and Seed Store located at 118 South Avenue in the Township of Cranford. Miss Trubenbach was initiated into Hillside Chapter #192 of the Eastern Star in 1946. She was Worthy Matron in 1951-1952, Fraternal Correspondent in 1952-1953, and Private Secretary to the Most Worthy Grand Matron in 1956-1957. The Hillside Chapter merged with Azure Chapter #87 where Ernestine continued doing her diligent work. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cranford.
