Miss Eliane G. Bobin , at the age of 96, went to her eternal rest on Thursday, August 31.She had been a resident of Cranford Health and Rehabilitation Center for about four years and enjoyed the company of the staff there. She was a lifelong lover of fashion and music, and appreciated the finer things in life. She took pride in her organization of the schedules for the piano tuners at Altenburg Piano House, where she worked for 55 years.
She immigrated to the United States from Paris in 1946 with her mother, Germaine Roger Bobin, and they were constant companions until her mother's death in 1988.Her father, Gaston Georges Bobin, an electrician, had been in the French Army in WW1 and later died from related causes in 1924 when she was a very young child. She grew up in Paris. After coming to the US, she lived her entire life in Elizabeth, NJ, and had many friends throughout the years in the area.
Graveside services will begin at 11AM Friday September 1, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery, Hills9ide, NJ. Arrangements by Gray Funeral Directors of Cranford.
