Doug Burton

Douglas Burton 76, of Middlesex, NJ, passed away on the evening of Sunday, December 29th at home surrounded by family and friends.

Born on August 11, 1943 in Westfield, New Jersey, Doug was the son of the late Adele Danker and George Burton. He attended Westfield High School. Shortly after that, with the help of his uncle, he started his own successful business, Doug Burton Ceramic Tile, which he ran for over 45 years.

Doug married his high school sweetheart Madelyn (Price) Burton, on October 16, 1965 and then moved to Middlesex, New Jersey where they started a family. Together they had two sons: Douglas and Thomas, and four grandchildren: Miles, Grace, Callie, and Reese. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather.

In his spare time Doug enjoyed working on cars, fishing, boating, bowling, fixing everything and anything, and spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
