Dorothy Ballard Hughes

Dorothy Ruth Ballard Hughes, 94, of Union, NJ,
formerly of Cranford, died peacefully at her residence
on Tuesday January 23, 2018. Born in Wisconsin
December 9, 1923, To the late: Alan G. Ballard Sr.
and Irma Weiben Ballard.
Dorothy was retired from the Bell Telephone Company,
where she was a telephone information operator
for over 25 years. She was also a member of the
First Presbyterian Church of Cranford, where she
sang in the church choir for many years.
She was preceded in death by her daughter:
Melanie K. Hughes Graff, her grandson: James A. Graff,
and her late brother: Alan Ballard Jr.
Dorothy is survived by her son: William M. Hughes,
her daughter: Laura Ann Hughes, (Her Companion Daniel)
and her grandson: Sean Graff.
A graveside service at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield
NJ, is being planned. Arrangements by:
