David L. Guanzon

David L. Guanzon, 45, of Cranford, NJ, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind many broken hearts on December 24th, 2025. He was born in the Philippines and came to the United States at a young age, later attending William Paterson University where he met his loving wife Nicole. Together they built a beautiful life, which was enriched even more with the birth of their son Aiden. David worked as a nurse for over 20 years, and was truly a wonderful and caring individual. He devoted his whole life to being a loving husband and father, and caring for his patients. David was also an avid fan of all sports “Philly,” especially the Eagles and Phillies. He will forever be missed, and never forgotten, leaving behind a legacy of caring and love.

David is survived by his loving wife of over 20 years Nicole (Cerchio) Guanzon, his son Aiden Guanzon, his parents Asterio Guanzon and Cynthia Guanzon, his father-in-law Robert Cerchio, his mother-in-law Patricia Cerchio, his sister-in-law Angela Esposito and her husband Ralph, his brother-in-law Anthony Cerchio, and many other extended family, neighbors, colleagues, and friends.

Friends and family are invited to the visitation on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 4PM-8PM Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford, NJ, 07016. In respect to the family’s private time, we ask that no guests arrive before 4PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025 at 10:00AM at St. Michael Church, 40 Alden St., Cranford, NJ in Cranford, NJ. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ.

Although David is no longer with us, his smile will shine bright in all those whose lives’ he touched, and he will watch over those he loved eternally.
