Cordelia Hoff of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday May 2, 2012 at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia surrounded by her loving family. She was 67. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9PM, Sunday May 6,, at Gray Funeral Home, 318 E. Broad St., Westfield, where the Funeral Service will begin at 10:30AM Monday May 7, 2012 (www.grayfuneralhomes.com to offer condolences). Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. She was born on November 4, 1944 in Montclair. Mrs. Hoff lived in Watchung and Westfield where she and her husband Peter had raised their family before moving to Springfield, 22 years ago. Corkie, as she was affectionately known as, was a homemaker. She entered the workforce when her children were older. She was a bank teller for several years before working as an assistant underwriter in the personal lines department at Chubb Insurance Co., in Murray Hill where she worked for 18 years upon retiring in 1996. Corkie enjoyed dining out, reading, doing crossword puzzles, gardening, bird watching and spending time relaxing outdoors. She especially enjoyed going on vacation to Wildwood with her family. Most of all, she adored and treasured her five angels, her grandsons whom brought her great joy. Cordelia was predeceased by her husband Peter Hoff in 2007. Surviving are her daughter, Leslie Rifenburg and her husband Rich of Freehold, her son Eric Hoff and his wife Marianne of Warren, her son Roy Hoff and his fiancée Cheryl Sacco of Springfield, her sister-in-law Joy Sargent of Columbus OH, her brother-in-law David Hoff and his wife Margaret of Henderson NV, her brother-in-law Paul Hoff and his wife Debbie of Frenchtown, her sister Lysbeth Buffardi of Cedar Grove and her five grandsons, Ryan Scott Rifenburg, Sean Matthew Rifenburg, Neil Tyler Rifenburg, Eric Allan Hoff, Jr., and Nicholas Henry Hoff.
