Constance C Nicholas
Connie Nicholas passed away late Saturday night 1/25/20 at the age of 85 at the Center for Hope Hospice Scotch Plains NJ. Connie was born May 19, 1934 in Clark NJ to parents Lucien and Sophie Jankowski .Connie leaves behind her loving husband of 65 years Robert and 2 daughters Kelly Brinkerhoff, her husband David, Nancy Venezia, her daughter in law Tammie Nicholas and grandchildren Heather, Brian and Anthony Nicholas, David, Steven, Ryan and Sara Brinkerhoff, and Claudia and Carley Venezia as well as great grandchildren Laken, Ava and Emma Brinkerhoff. She also leaves behind 1 brother Richard Jankowski and numerous nieces & nephews.
Connie was pre-deceased by her son James Nicholas, her parents and sisters Regina, Vi, Isabelle and Delores.
Connie was a full time dedicated mother and wife until her children were grown then she went to work for Chase as a file clerk in the mortgage company. After retiring Connie and Bob enjoyed traveling and a very active life in the senior community The Meadows in Whiting NJ until they moved back to Cranford in 2015. Connie's children and grandchildren were the most important thing in her life, her entire family meant the world to her and she always spoke of how blessed she was for the family she was born into and the one she and Bob were blessed with.
She will be greatly missed by her family and the impact of her love and care will be carried with them all.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3 to 8 pm at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford. A mass of Christian burial will be 10 am at St. Ann's Church in Garwood, with entombment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
