Carol (Nee Bunce) Hancock-Carleau

June 20, 1932 — May 9, 2022

Carol Hancock-Carleu (nee Bunce) formerly of Mountainside, passed at the age of 89 in Orlando, Florida, on December 1, 2021. She was pre-deceased by both of her husbands, Donald F. Hancock and George H. Carleu and her stepson Stephen. Mother of Carolyn Hancock and James Hancock, sister of Audrey Woolley. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Ashley and Bryce, two step children Linda Smith and Greg Carleu and three step grand children Trevor, Olivia and Lily.
Volunteering was a large part of Carol's life. She served as the State President of the NJSFWC as well as the President of the Woman's Club of Mountainside, NJ.. She was active in the Overlook Hospital Auxiliary serving again as President of the Auxiliary and then to Overlook Foundation Board. She was also a member of the NJ Symphony.
Carol's visitation will be from 10AM-12 Noon on Friday May 20, 2022 at Gray Funeral Home, 318 E. Broad St., Westfield. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ with her first husband, Donald, but only 1 row and 4 headstones away from her second husband, George.
