Bernard J. Solinger

Bernard J. Solinger, 59, formerly of Westfield, NJ, died Tuesday, December 11, in Boston, MA, after a lengthy illness. Bernie's Life Celebration will be 2-4 and 7-9PM Thursday at Gray's, 318 E. Broad St., Westfield (www.grayfuneralhomes.com to offer condolences), where his funeral service will begin at 10AM, Friday December 14, 2012. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. A broadcast engineer for WHDH-TV, Boston, Bernie attended Youngstown State University, and was a 1971 graduate of Westfield High School. Preceded in death by his father Bernard J. Solinger, Bernie is survived by his mother: Ruth of Westfield, sister: Cheryl Graef and husband Robert of CT, brother: Kevin of WA, nieces and nephews: Lauren, Kevin, and Katelyn Solinger, Erica Graef, and his aunt, Joan Bauer.
