Bartley P. Carlson

May 14, 1951 — April 26, 2023

Bartley P. Carlson age 71 passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.  Born in Jersey City, Bart was a lifelong residence of Cranford, NJ.  He attended the Cranford school system and received an Associate Degree from Union College.

He is survived by his long-time companion Jean Ewing, his brother Don Carlson Sr. and wife Marylou, his nephew Don Carlson Jr. along grandnieces Adrionna, Alexandra and Aubrey.

Bart was Vice-President of D&K Gypsum Floors, Linden, NJ.  Among Bart’s attributes were his mechanical prowess and his ability to “fix anything”!

He loved boating, even installed a super charger to have his family type boat be “sleeper fast”.  He would laugh when an unexpecting go-fast boat would take a “back seat” to his boat.  Guess the boat’s name “Radiant Heat” should have been a clue to its speed.

Bart enjoyed being out on the water at the Jersey Shore, fishing, hanging out at F cove, having his dog Princess along and meeting with friends at the marina.

Bart had dear neighborhood friends with whom he celebrated fun times and driveway parties.
