B. Schmidt

Eleanore Schmidt (nee Braun), 83, of Mountainside passed away peacefully on Saturday May 27 at her son's home in Warren, NJ. Private arrangements are by the Gray Funeral Home in Westfield, NJ. A memorial service will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Community Presbyterian Church in Mountainside, NJ. Mrs. Schmidt worked in retail sales for many years at Sealfon's and at Lord & Taylor. She was a member of The Deutscher Club of Clark and of the Newark Saengerchor, Woman's Auxiliary. She had the most beautiful heart and provided loving care and inspiration to her family, friends and to everyone she met. Mrs. Schmidt was born in Bremerhaven, Germany and lived in Mountainside, NJ since 1963. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years Werner H. Schmidt Sr., her daughter Karin Sue Schmidt, and granddaughter Pamela Sue Schmidt. She is survived by her loving son Werner H. Schmidt Jr. and his wife Marcy, and her devoted grandchildren Stephanie and Michael. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Presbyterian Church in Mountainside, NJ.
