Audrey V Librera

Audrey Librera (née Price), 87, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on December 6, 2025, peacefully surrounded by loving family.

Audrey was born August 2, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Dorothy and Charles Price.Audrey married Benjamin Librera in Brooklyn, New York and were together for almost 60 years before Benjamin predeceased her in 2016. Together, they had four children, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Audrey worked for many years at the Hartford Insurance company, and then at a local public school in Brooklyn. Audrey especially loved sewing and spending time with Benjamin at their house at the east end in Riverhead, Long Island.

Audrey was a beloved grandmother, making each of her grandchildren feel special. She had many, many friends throughout her life and was a beacon of joy to all who met her. 

Remaining to cherish Audrey’s memory are children, Marie Russo, Joanne Librera and her husband Jackson, Dorothy McNeil and her husband Donald, and Benjamin Librera and his wife Cindy; grandchildren, Alexandra, Nicole, Anthony, John, Andrew, Donald Jr., Kevin, Amanda, Christopher, and Nicholas; great-grandchildren of Anthony Capasso and his wife Cortney, Thomas, Audrey, and Olivia; and brother, Charles.

Preceding Audrey in death are spouse, Benjamin Librera; parents, Dorothy and Charles Price; brothers, Hubert and Stanley Price; sister, Marjorie Price; and son-in-law Vincent Russo.

Audrey’s Visitation will be on Thursday December 11th, from 3:00-8:00PM at Gray Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford, NJ. Her Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM Friday December 12, 2025 at St. Michael Church, 40 Alden St., Cranford, NJ in Cranford, NJ with the Rev. Fr. Marc A. Vicari, as celebrant. Interment will be in Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, L.I., NY.
