On Tuesday, June 23, 2020 Anastasia Heins (Stasia), loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend passed away.
Stasia was born September 11, 1931, Jersey City, NJ to John and Theresa Zazula.
She shared a close and loving relationship with her family.
As a young lady, Stasia and a group of friends formed a knitting club to knit items for the military serving overseas. This resulted in lifelong friendships with a very special group of ladies that held a special place in her heart.
On February 3, 1951, she married her husband Richard W. Heins (Bill). They lived in Cranford, NJ where they raised their children Richard Jr. (Dick), Paul, David, and Donna.
During their retired years, Stasia and Bill enjoyed traveling the United States in their R.V. They belonged to camping groups, made new friends, visited family, and enjoyed the beauty our country has to offer.
In 1997 Stasia lost her husband of 46 years.
In her mother's golden years, Stasia and her sister Ann moved in with their mother to take care of her until she passed in 2003. Stasia always treasured the time they shared. She said they laughed so much and she saw a side of her mother she didn't know growing up. She would say she missed the time they shared.
After their mother's death, Stasia, her siblings, and their spouses John (Cathy), Ann (Andy), and Bill (Melanie), would meet once a month for dinner. Stasia looked forward to their "sibling dinners" and over the years turned into "sibling lunches". There was always laughter, reminiscing of fun memories, and catching up on the latest news in their lives.
Her life was filled with love daily. Stasia was predeceased by her mother, father, husband, oldest son Dick, brother John, and sister Ann. Left to cherish her memory are sons Paul and David (LuAnne), daughter Donna (Jimmy), many grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother William Zazula, nieces, and nephews.
Stasia's visitation will be Sunday June 28th from 4:00-8:00PM at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave. Cranford. Her graveside service will be at 10:30AM Monday June 29, 2020 at Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton. Please go to: www.grayfuneralhomes.com to offer condolences.
